Okay, so I’m no Julia Child…but I’m proud of this one. A blueberry smoothie, high in protein, perfect for a morning breakfast on the fly. Serves two.
6 oz, by weight, frozen blueberries
6 oz, by weight, frozen peaches
6 oz, by weight, frozen blackberries
6 oz, by weight, frozen cherries
1/2 cup plain, low fat Greek-style yogurt
1/2 cup acai/pomegranate juice
2 tablespoons vanilla-flavored whey protein powder
Throw everything in a blender and start off on low speed. Gradually work your way up to 80-90% power and blend for about a minute. (You should see a pretty good vortex working in there.) Pour out two cups and enjoy. It has a great pillowy consistency.
