Horror Book Review: Apocalypse of the Dead (2010)

Horror Book Review: Apocalypse of the Dead (2010).

Anythinghorror.com just did a fabulous review of Apocalypse of the Dead.  This is the kind of review that writers dream of getting, and I’m really excited it came my way.

I just finished reading AOTD last night. I agree with almost everything allthingshorror.com wrote in his review. What I didn’t like about the book was that the descriptions between the different stages of zombie seemed a bit muddled. Aside from this, it was a very enjoyable read. I will be picking up Dead City and Quarentened in short order. Have to show support for a fellow San Antonian.

Thanks! I appreciate your kind words. Glad you brought up the issue of the different kinds of zombies. Check out Book 4, The Zombie King, when it comes out in 2012. The first three books are close to the initial outbreak and, while many observers have noticed the differences in the types of zombies, they haven’t had much of a chance to differentiate yet. Book 4 should make the differences much more clear, as it takes place 8 years after the first three books.

And thanks for looking into my other books. One thing I should caution you on is that Quarantined is NOT a zombie book. It’s a stand alone book, unrelated to the Dead World series. Amazon likes to bill as a zombie book, but it most certainly isn’t. Just so you know!

The third book is called Flesh Eaters and will be hitting stores April 1st. Check out the Reader’s Guide to the Dead World on my homepage for a sneak peak at the plot.
