Horror fans, I found a new site you have to check out. Dead, Buried, and Back is the home of John Farris, filmmaker, writer, reviewer and all around cool guy. This page has got some great content, with a special focus on zombies. Definitely worth a look.

San Antonio Zombie Walk and Horrific Film Festival

Film makers and horror fans from around the world are coming to San Antonio for the San Antonio Horrific Film Festival this August 28th to 31st–and I get to be one of the guests of honor!  The event is hosted by the El Instituto Cultural de Mexico, and all films will be screened at the Instituto’s Auditorium located at 600 Hemisfair Park, San Antonio, Texas 78205.  The film makers will be competing in the following categories:  Best Feature Film; Best Short Film; Best SFX; Best Actor; and Best Actress.  Admission is $10 for adults and kids (come on people, who would bring kids 12 and under to a horror festival?!?!) are free.

Kicking off the festival will be a Zombie Walk–and you know I love that.  The walk will start off at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 28th from the front steps of El Instituto Cultural de Mexico and head to Club Azucar, where the walk will conclude with a movie trailer competition.  I’ll be on hand to sign free copies of Dead City and talk to the ghouls.
